Stress Illness Recovery Programme

I have been helping people with their emotional pain for the past ten years and I noticed that the majority of my clients also had many physical symptoms which they thought they had to live with all their lives.

I therefore decided to train with Stress Illness Recovery Practitioners Association (SIRPA)
This is a really pioneering approach to getting rid of illness for good not just managing the symptoms. There have been some really amazing results with the Stress Illness Recovery Programme that I offer. I realised that many clients who have physical symptoms and conventional diagnoses believe that they have to put up with their pain all their lives or have operations to try and cure them. This is because our unconscious mind is very clever and is trying to protect us.

My treatment programme doesn't involve any medication. Many clients get better from working theough the programme which takes about six weeks. Other clients have a longer journey and may need another therapy to help.

My aim is to give clients awareness of why they are ill and give them tools to empower them to change things in their lives. After having done the programme some clients have said its a miracle!!

I don't believe in clients becoming dependent on their therapist so I will give you lots of tools and techniques for you to help yourself but I will also be there to support you through the process


I am a certified Relate counsellor and have been helping people with their relationships for more than eight years. I am also a BACP accredited counsellor.

More recently I have studied and have a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is a set of techniques to help people with issues like depression, phobias. It can be helpful where thinking becomes distorted and this in turn affects feelings and behaviour.

I operate from an eclectic perspective which means I use different theories depending on what I beleive is appropriate for the client

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

I discovered the value of coaching when I experienced it myself a few years ago. This encouraged me to become a coach myself. I gained a Diploma with the Coaching Academy. I get great pleasure from helping people achieve their personal and professional goals. Coaching encapsulates personal development, beliefs, values, attitudes, emotions and motivation levels. The ultimate goal of coaching is to help you to develop internal and external structures that help you achieve success and to increase your potential by expanding your sense of what is possible. Coaches encourage individuals to develop the necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge that will help them develop action plans to meet goals

Emotional Freedom Technique
I became familiar with EFT when someone I know used it for anxiety and depression. It was so successful that I knew I had to find out more. I am now a qualified practioner.

EFT is an energy therapy that helps to achieve emotional harmony and improved physical health. It works in a similar way to acupuncture but without the needles! By correcting disrupted energy flow EFT releases the emotional intensity connected with negative emotions.

It works for about 80 per cent of people and can be used to help with stress, panic attacks, anger, fear, phobias, chronic fatigue and addictions. The possibilities are endless. It’s a simple technique and most people only need a few sessions with a therapist and can learn how to do it themselves.

Hypnosis is a natural state of heightened awareness, where you are able to open your mind to beneficial suggestions and where you can make use of your imagination to help make positive changes in your life.

It is widely used for all psychosomatic disorders. (i.e. those mental and emotional states, which actually produce physical symptoms)
In a nutshell, hypnotherapy can generally help with any problem you're finding hard to handle on your own - thoughts and actions you'd like to banish or acquire, or emotional suffering that is too overwhelming or has gone on too long. Some physical problems can also be treated effectively by hypnotherapy.
It can help with stopping smoking, losing weight and eating disorders. The possibilities are endless
